Missions
It is possible to select scenarios here
Simutrans normally has no specific objective. However, it is possible to start missions with defined gameplay goals. These scenarios are listed in the missions dialog here, where they can be selected and launched.
Attention: Once an entry is selected, the new map with its specific objective loads immediately without further confirmation. The current game will be discarded and is not automatically saved!
· GermanyMap_1800
A map stretching from Hamburg and Lübeck down to Venice, also including Switzerland and the Rhine estuary. The Alps form a natural barrier that must be crossed to trade with the Mediterranean region. This map is not entirely geographically accurate. For instance, the city of Kuwait (with its oil wells) has been moved to the bottom-right corner, and the Swedish town of Kiruna to the top-left, ensuring all in-game raw materials are available. The Rhine estuary was included for shipping purposes, as were the Rhine-Main-Danube Canal and the Stecknitz Canal.
· GermanyMap_1800_Server
This is the same map as above, but with modifications to make it suitable for multiplayer server play.
· Oktoberfest
A scenario specifically designed for and centered around Oktoberfest in Pak128.german.
There is no pre-existing savegame to load for this scenario.
To start the scenario, proceed as follows:
- Create a new map according to your preferences.
- Then select "Load scenario" followed by "Oktoberfest".
- The scenario is now active, and the scenario information should be visible.
A quick tip:
Don't create too many tourist attractions when making the new map.
Otherwise, people will visit the attractions instead, and not enough people will go to the Oktoberfest.
Additional game objectives can be added. The files are located in the scenario directory. This directory is found within the folder for the pakset being used. Each scenario consists of a saved game and a description file containing the game objective.
